Taking about Nokia, it has its roots since 1865, with the commencement of a forest industry venture in Southwestern Finland by mining engineer Fredrik Idestam. Elsewhere, the year 1898 saw the foundation of Finnish Rubber Works Ltd, and Finnish Cable Works kicked-off its operations in the 1912. Later, the possession of these 2 companies and Nokia began to shift into hands of just a few owners. Finally in 1967, these 3 companies merged together to form Nokia Corporation. From a stage of paper mill to today's leading mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia has undergone numerous transitions.
